In antiquity Kythera was dedicated to Aphrodite, where according to mythology, the goddess of love first came to our island going to Cyprus. Profyroussa then called, though the locals use the name Tsirigo.
The island of Kythira from prehistoric times associated with the myth of the birth of the goddess Aphrodite, the most beautiful sights and people.
